Clacton
Air Show
We regularly attend the air show, where we have a
stand, which is 'manned' by volunteers from the various churches
offering passersby a listening ear, opportunities for prayer,
refreshments or information. We will again be attending this
year's air show. |
Christmas
Over the years, Churches Together have been
involved with various townwide Christmas activities including:
 | Carol Singing in Clacton Town Square
(outside MacDonald's) |
 | TCVS Christmas Market (usually the 1st
Thursday in December). |

2010
Election Hustings
Prior to the General Election, Churches Together held
a Hustings, where the public had an opportunity to come along and ask
questions. Very positive feedback was received from this event. |
Prayer EventsThere have been several 24 hour and 48 hour prayer
events around the town. Usually these include a multi-sensory prayer room where anyone
is welcome to spend a few moments or longer in prayer using traditional and
contemporary resources.

Pentecost
Praise
We have hosted two open-air events.
Pentecost Praise was held in the grounds of Trinity Methodist Church, at
the outer edge of Clacton town centre. Members from all 17
churches in Clacton and Jaywick celebrated the day that the Holy Spirit
came to the early church. Pentecost is an annual celebration for
Christians to remember that they need the Holy Spirit in their daily
lives. This last year, the Churches
met together for a Sunday night United Service at Christchurch URC.
The service was enjoyable, very well organised and extremely well
attended. |
